November 2024 Congratulations to Dr Lydia Barber, who becomes the 3rd PhD student from the group to pass her viva! Here she is with examiner Chris Coxon from Edinburgh. Lydia did fantastic work studying N-terminal modification chemistries during her PhD, and is heading to Vienna for a postdoc at TU Wien!

January 2024 Welcome to our new PhD student Seb Grant who started this week. Seb will be working with Dave Boucher in York Biology, studying the complex world of caspases

September 2023 Congratulations to Laetitia on passing her PhD viva! Laetitia was our joint-first PhD student in the group and played an invaluable role in getting us off the ground, we will miss her a lot! Good luck for your next role at Bicycle Therapeutics

June 2023 Congratulations to Masters students Laurie and James for finishing their undergrad degrees! Straight on to the next ones, James will be coming back to do his PhD with us next year, while Laurie moves to Birmingham for a PhD with Andy Wilson.

May 2023 Congratulations to Nick on passing his PhD viva! Nick did fantastic work during his time in the group developing a new FRET platform for studying the chemistry of ortho-boronoaldehydes and other fast bioconjugation reactions. The platform even allows us to study reactions in complex media such as serum! You can check out his work in Chemical Science.
